Let Us Be Your Golden's Home Away From Home!
If you're like us, your Golden Retriever is a real family member. And when you travel you hate the idea of leaving your dog cooped up and isolated in a commercial kennel. You know they are sitting in a cage by themselves and they only get out a few times a day. You know they feel abandoned and confused. They certainly don't get the love and attention they crave and need. We are a "Golden family" and we have always been fortunate enough to have friends or family who were able to take in our dog when we traveled. But we have found families who need that sort of service, and so that is what we offer.
We welcome your Golden into our home, and offer him the attention, activity and love he needs while you are away. Dogs are much happier being in a family environment, and you get to go on your trip guilt-free, knowing your pet is being cared for just as you would care for him.
Just tell us all of your dog's cute, (and not-so-cute) quirky habits and we will make sure that he is cared for. We ask that your pet is up to date on his shots and is regularly given flea controlling medicine. You would provide your dog's food and toys and whatever makes him comfortable. We have a fenced yard, but will also leash walk and/or utilize the wooded trails and school field behind our home if your pet is able to be off a leash. And of course there is a soft bed or couch available to satisfy all sleeping arrangements! Rest assured we will be your Golden's new favorite home away from home.
Rates:
$25 per day for one dog
$40 per day for two dogs
Charges begin the day of arrival, regardless of time. Pickup required by noon on day of departure to avoid another day's charge.
We realize that sometimes folks have a second dog that might not be a Golden Retriever. We will consider other breeds if they have good dog habits and are not aggressive.
